Glycolic Acid works by stimulating new growth of corneocytes and collagen and by decreasing the bond that holds dead skin cells on the surface

 

It is commonly used for metabolic stimulation and chemical peeling. 

 

Glycolic Acid is great for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, age spots as well as improving sun-damaged skin. 

 

When used in combination with Polyvitamins and Retinoic Acid, Glycolic Acid is also useful for reducing stretch marks.

 

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) are a group of naturally occurring acids which are derived from certain plants and fruits.

 

Derived from sugar cane, Glycolic Acid is the most commonly used form of AHA; and also is the most active AHA.
